Home buyers with big dreams for a new home by Rob Rice in a spectacular community have been waiting for this day…and it has finally arrived!
Anticipation has been high for the opening of the Rob Rice Community of Steilacoom Ridge in Lacey, Washington. The local builder’s newest community offers 10 incredible floorplans, that include 6 luxury ramblers and “main floor living” plans with the master suite on the first floor. You must see these stunning homes to believe them.
Rob Rice, voted the Best of South Sound Builder for the last 3 years, has continually introduced new plans to meet buyers’ huge demand for main floor living. For example, the beautiful new Cottonwood and Aspen both have the convenience of a rambler and an additional upstairs bonus room, extra bedroom and flexible storage space. The new homes offered at Steilacoom Ridge range in size from 1,732 sq. ft. to 2,598 sq. ft.
With a reputation of building a new home in communities that grow in value and stand the test of time, Steilacoom Ridge will have the signature expansive landscaping, superior home construction and stunning home designs typical of Thurston County’s most successful and experienced builder, Rob Rice.
Choose Your Luxurious Features
Because of the huge demand for Rob Rice Homes’ unique rambler floorplans, the Best of South Sound Builder has allowed buyers to reserve their choice of lots in Steilacoom Ridge, prior to this final plat approval. Several homebuyers jumped at the chance.
But now, the wait is over to finalize a home purchase in this majestic, tree-lined location, with its larger lots and highly-desired floorplans.
Once buyers purchase the home of their choice, they may then begin the pre-sale process of making their choices for the luxurious design features that are included in the price of their Rob Rice Home. Before the home is built, they have a choice of window and door design, granite or quartz kitchen counters, cabinet and hardwood flooring finishes, designer backsplash tile, stylish lighting fixtures and more.
Realtors Christina Janis and Lucia Arroyo, who represent the local builder at Steilacoom Ridge, are thrilled at the opportunities for buyers that they talk to every day.
“So many are empty nesters and retirees who marvel at our floorplans and only want the quality and upscale features available in a Rob Rice Home,” says Christina. “We get a lot of ‘wows’ when people walk through our doors.”
An Amazing Location
Ideally located in a rural Northwest setting, Steilacoom Ridge is within minutes of I-5, a short commute to Joint Base Lewis McChord and abundant Hawks Prairie shopping in Lacey. Also, nearby is the growing “Gateway project”, where Cabela’s is located and there are plans for many future retailers, outlets and recreational opportunities.
Just a little over a mile down the road is the beautiful Lacey Regional Athletic Complex, with its trails, picnic areas and numerous playing fields.
Outside the Steilacoom Ridge entrance, there is a picturesque drive to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge a cherished location for local nature lovers with spectacular vistas of the South Sound.
The Rush is On
Steilacoom Ridge, more than 12 years in planning and development, has premium lots to choose from—larger lots, corner lots, lots by open space or with territorial views and some with a view of Mount Rainer—in the community’s first phase.
Most of the lots are large enough to accommodate any of the 10 floor plans offered.
“People searching for their ‘forever home’ should jump now at this rare opportunity,” says Realtor Lucia Arroyo. “It has it all—gorgeous location, convenient living and fabulous homes with stunning features.”

Carolyn,
I am sorry to hear you are upset with our construction partners and sub-contractors. If anyone is working before 7am please notify our office at 3607547010 and we will need to know who the company is. We really can’t do anything about this unless we know who it is and then we can ensure that they know and follow the designated work hours and guidelines. When you purchased your home it was obvious that we were building hundreds of homes in Steilacoom Ridge and we try hard to manage all of our partners and sub-contractors but unfortunately there are those times that our partners don’t know or don’t follow the guildelines. Please contact us at our office and let us know if this happens again. We are a locally owned company that cares about our homeowners and our community and it is not all about the mighty dollar.
Sincerely,
Helena Rice
