At Rob Rice Homes and Epic Realty we are excited to participate in the Salvation Army’s annual “Ring The Bell” campaign for the sixth consecutive year. Together we will work to raise money for Thurston County people in need by taking shifts at Cabela’s to ring the iconic red kettle bell.
We will be participating on December 3, the designated “Realtors Day of Ringing,” so expect to see many other Thurston County realtors raising funds at the event as well.
The Salvation Army’s Influence on Thurston County
The Thurston County Salvation Army has dedicated themselves to helping those in need since 1889. They serve Olympia and the surrounding areas with many different programs in various sectors of need, including support and resources for teens, people in poverty, those without homes, the aging population and more. It is important to us at Rob Rice Homes and Epic Realty to give back to our local Thurston County community, and partnering with the Salvation Army is a fantastic way to do this. The Director of the Thurston County Salvation Army, Butch Soriano feels, “the experience working with Epic Realty and Rob Rice Homes over the last six years has been a wonderful opportunity for both organizations to come together to raise money for our local community and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”

The Salvation Army Recovery Program
All donations from the Thurston County “Ring The Bell” campaign this year will go directly to help fund the Salvation Army Recovery Program. This program is an in-house 90-120 day residential work-therapy program designed to assist people with fighting addiction, building work and social skills, restoring families, regaining health and stability and much more. The program is free of charge to those who meet the criteria, which include being between the ages of 21-65 and having some form of photo identification.
The Impact of Rob Rice Homes
Rob Rice Homes & Epic Realty are proud to have raised the most money for the Salvation Army out of all participants for the five years we have been involved in the campaign, and we cannot wait to do it again this year. In 2019, we raised $7,764, and in 2020 we raised over $8,000 to help those in need. With your help hopefully we can raise even more for our community this year.
We would love to see you join in the fun in person at the event on December 3 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. If you are not able to donate in person, consider donating virtually through our fundraiser link, or feel free to contact Helena Rice at helena@robricehomes.com or (360) 789-0922 to coordinate. We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 to help our Thurston County community this holiday season.
