Rob Rice Homes is pleased to announce a new floor plan unique to Campus Estates, its small community in Lacey, WA where there are new homes available now alongside the lush 16th and 17th fairways of the championship Woodlands Course at Hawks Prairie.
The new “Torrey” with its 3,330 sq. ft. is a similar floorplan to the ever-popular Vahalla plan and will be offered exclusively at Campus Estates or on one of Rob Rice Homes select home sites in Thurston County (the local builder’s individual lots located outside of his communities.)

The new Torrey plan comes in two different architectural elevations to add variety and beauty to the Campus Estates streetscape.
The new home is a highly-desired master down floorplan with the many features of a great rambler and the bonus of upper-story entertainment space. The Torrey makes for gracious entertaining and has already been met with enthusiasm by Campus Estates homebuyers.
The Torrey’s luxurious master suite with its view of the golf course from a private patio accessed by a sliding glass door, maintains privacy on the main floor in a split plan with two other bedrooms. After arriving through a gracious entrance served by a powder room, family and guests will enjoy gathering in the bright kitchen and eat-in nook with their designer touches in rich cabinetry, backsplash tile, KitchenAid appliances and hardwood flooring. There is an open flow from the kitchen to a great room warmed by a gas fireplace and flooded with natural light from the backyard covered patio.
A den on the main floor serves as a separate and quiet home office or study. Upstairs provides private living in a fourth bedroom and another bath in addition to the loft space or media room, allowing for fabulous space for hosting guests.
Why Another Plan?
The Torrey is the 10th plan Rob Rice has introduced to Campus Estates, a large number of choices in a relatively small community of just 52 lots.

The views, open and bright floorplans and designer touches typical at Campus Estates make for great entertaining and family gatherings.
Rob Rice added the plan because the Best of South Sound builder consistently responds to what buyers look for in floorplans, especially hard-to-find ramblers and downstairs master plans.
The overwhelming popularity of the Vahalla plan with its 3,434 sq. ft. inspired the introduction of the Torrey, a similar, but unique plan that also has two different exterior architectural versions to ensure each home that frames Bogey Drive maintains a unique character and look.
Another reason for the new plan is that Rob Rice cares about the long-term value of his neighborhoods so he avoids monotonous streetscapes.
“People don’t want to live on a street where every house is the same,” says Rob. “It is not good for home values. The new Torrey will be a terrific addition to the beautiful streetscape in this unique neighborhood.”
Tranquil, but Convenient to Everything
Both sides of Bogey Drive border the Woodlands Golf Course so morning coffee or an evening glass of wine can be enjoyed from the covered patio that overlooks rolling fairways and towering Northwest pines from each home in Campus Estates.
Within the community, you will find tree-lined streets, irrigated and maintained planter strips and a Homeowners Association that protects the value of your home while encouraging a sense of community.
The exclusive neighborhood is located in the master planned community of Meridian Campus, a sought-after location near shopping, schools, parks and forested nature trails, a protected nature reserve, two golf courses and many other community amenities. Though quiet and secluded, Campus Estates is close to I-5 and the new Gateway Town Center Project, home to Cabela’s in Lacey.
