What could be more fun than touring two beautiful Rob Rice Homes while enjoying fabulous food, wine & entertainment? Well, than mark your calendars now for the Olympia Master Builders Tour of Homes featuring a Chefs on Tour VIP night September 15 and the Tour of Homes event September 16 & 17. The Chefs on Tour is a VIP night where a select number of builders on the Tour partner with local chefs to provide the community with an evening of food, drink, music, and an opportunity to view those homes prior to the rest of the public.
This year, we will be featuring two homes and two well-known Olympia Chefs. At our Campus Estates community located in the Master Planned Community of Meridian Campus we will be featuring our 2-story home plan, The Riviera. This home offers 3,108 +/- square feet and ideally located on the golf course. A popular floorplan, this home showcases the latest and overwhelmingly popular kitchen trend of gray cabinets coupled with sleek white quartz counters and jeweled backsplash tile. Extensive hardwood, quartz counters in all bathrooms and more! This home has all the bells & whistles and will give you a snapshot of the latest design trend of contemporary & sleek. Chef Ricardo of Ricardo’s Restaurant in Olympia will be serving up some delicious food to enjoy while you tour this home and don’t be surprised if you get a chance to hear some good tunes as well.
Our second home featured is at our newest community, Steilacoom Ridge in Lacey. The Cottonwood is 2,509 +/- square feet featuring a main-floor master and two additional bedrooms. If gold, mercury glass & tile that resembles a beautiful tortoise interest you, than visiting this home is a must. White maple shaker cabinets coupled with a Mulberry stained Beech Kitchen Island give this home the warmth we all want. Extensive granite, quartz, oil rubbed bronze, and hardwood all add to the grandeur. The main-floor master with additional attic storage appeals to the buyer looking to downsize while the 3-bedrooms, loft and 2-1/2 bath appeal to a family.
After you’ve enjoyed a sampling of Chef Rick’s food, head over to Steilacoom Ridge where you can enjoy some savory sweets masterfully prepared by Becky Gottleib, Owner of Gotti Sweets.
Janet Kenney, one of the 2016 ticket holders, has already vowed to attend the 2017 Chefs on Tour. She said, “[This is] one of the best events I’ve ever attended in Olympia! Thank you for bringing it to us and featuring the stars, builders and chefs in our community. It was nice not to have to drive to Tacoma, Seattle or Portland for an event of this caliber.”
This year’s Chefs on Tour is scheduled for Friday, September 15th, and tickets will go on sale at the end of August. The Tour of Homes is open Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17 from 11 am to 5 pm daily and is free to the public. Visit omb.org for additional event information.
