Epic Realty Provides Needed Cash Donations
To South Puget Sound Area Food Banks
Epic Realty, Inc., located in Olympia Washington wanted to do something special for their communities this holiday season and they wanted to connect with people in the community. To do this, Epic Realty created a Facebook promotion that started on November 29 and continued through December 23, 2010. As a result of the promotion, Epic Realty was able to donate a total of $1500 to South Puget Sound area food banks.
The promotional idea was to increase Epic Realty’s friends on Facebook and they promised $5 for every new friend to their Facebook page during the promotional time period. Supported by a fabulous community, existing friends helped spread the word. Within two weeks of the promotion, Epic Realty’s Facebook page had increased their friends by 90 new friends, so new homebuilder, Rob Rice, challenged them to double the count in the last week and increase the total new friends in the last week and if they did it he would double their donation. The word continued to spread and as a result Epic got a total of 190 new friends, 10 over the challenge goal set by their new homebuilder Rob Rice.
“This has been a terrific promotion for us. We gained a lot of new friends to our page and were able to donate a lot of money for those in need right here in our communities.” According to Helena Rice, Co-Owner of Epic Realty.
“A donation of cash to our food bank is very powerful because for every $1 donated we can buy three times the value of that dollar. We will use this donation to purchase perishable items for those in need. We are so thankful for this.” Robert Coit, Executive Director of the Thurston County Food Bank.
Epic Realty, Inc donated $750.00 to the Thurston County Food Bank, $375.00 to the Fish Food Banks of Pierce County and $375.00 to the Lewis County Food Bank Coalition.
Epic Realty, Inc located in Olympia WA represents new homes built by Rob Rice. They are currently marketing five new home communities located in Napavine, Chehalis, Lacey, Olympia and Puyallup. For more information go to www.homesfromepic.com.
